This idea from the Mexican Revolution theorizes that the laws of the land are always in favor of the powerful. Over time many have decided to tackle their own conflicts, which were generated by an immature political system that seems to be always on the right side of the law. La Ley del Monte as a process of reflection; by visiting and revisiting historically charged areas and those who are developing their own today’s history, the project seeks to address all the leads that construct what we know today as a war on drugs. Shot in Chihuahua, Yucatan Peninsula, San Luis PotosI, Guerrero, Michoacan and Mexico City between 2009-2017. The project is constructed by historical images, documents, newspapers, still photographs and a 3-channel video installation. It has been exhibited as a solo show in Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City and the Centro Fotografico Manuel Alvarez Bravo from Oaxaca.
